South End Assassins Youth Rugby Program

The club is proud to carry on the work Alumni Chris Chapman started over a decade ago. Chris
aimed to establish a grassroots youth rugby program to help grow the game in the province of Manitoba
and create a better pathway for young athletes to become lifelong rugby players. Chris ran the program
under the name of the South End Rugby Football Club (SERFC) and with his ties to the Assassins; the club assisted in helping with the program over the years it was running. The Assassins RFC is now fully
running this youth program and we carry on part of the name and the mission started by Chris to honor
the work he has done to grow the sport of rugby for the future!

The program aims to teach rugby basics like pass, catch, evasive running, camaraderie and most
importantly, fun! Expanding on last year’s successful program of approximately 20 young rugby players
we are now offering a youth tackle program to complement the flag rugby program.
