About Us

The Assassins are a Rugby Football Club from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and have been a member of the Manitoba Rugby Union since 1967. We are a tight-knit club that embodies camaraderie and unity and strive to field competitive rugby teams at all levels. The club currently fields one Senior Women’s team, one Senior Men’s Premier Division team, and one Senior Men’s 2nd Division team.

The Premier Men’s side has won the coveted Patrons Challenge Cup for senior competition in 1970, 1976, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2014, 2015, 2016 and most recently in 2021.

The Women’s team won the provincial championship in 2006, 2008, 2012, and are on a streak with wins in 2019, 2021, and 2022.

The Assassins are committed to fostering and promoting rugby in Manitoba through community outreach and volunteer activities. The club stands behind the collective belief that rugby is a life-long sport and would like nothing more than to introduce young athletes around the province to a sport that provides so many competitive and social opportunities. The Assassins are affiliated with multiple high school rugby programs and run three Rugby Canada Rookie rugby programs (ages 5-14) in Winnipeg.

We are open to anyone wishing to join the Assassins. Do you have what it takes?
