Alumni – Jamie Cole
Jamie played with the Assassins from 1994-2015, starting in the Colts program, moving to play on the first Assassins Women’s team and helping coach while continuing to play in 2015. She started playing in the centre positions (12/13) and moved throughout the back line, however for many years she played at stand-off (10). Jamie started playing rugby in grade 11 at Glenlawn Collegiate and then progressed to playing for the Assassins Colts then Assassins Women. She also played for the U19 and Senior Manitoba provincial teams. In 1996, the U19 Manitoba Team won the National Championship and has since been inducted into the Manitoba Rugby Hall of Fame. Jamie was also the Assistant Coach/Manager for the U19 Women’s team in later years.
Why the Assassins?
“I played with the Assassins Club as a natural progression from high school as Glenlawn was a “feeder school” to the club. I am lucky enough to have made numerous lifelong friendships through rugby and the Assassins Club. Without the club, I would have missed out on creating so many memories that I now cherish.”
